Year End Sewing
Hi everyone!! Happy New Year!! 🎉🎉🍸🥂
This year has been sew wonderful and I have actually sewn more this year than I’ve ever seen before. I guess you can say that I found my sewjo 😂😂 (corny, I know). Well, enough with the chit chat, let me get straight to my final two sewfits of 2017. Over the Christmas holiday, I made a dress that was so easy to sew, that I shocked my slow sewing self by finishing it in 30 minutes. That dress is M6886. I call it my foundation pattern, because you can use it as a base pattern to create other designs. For my dress, I used a plaid Ponte knit that I found at my local Joanns.

My next look is a look that I created for a monthly sewing challenge on Instagram, it is called “Sew Your View.” The host posts a pattern and participants sew their favorite view and use the #sewyourview on Instagram when they post photos of their makes. For my sewfit, I used a floral terry knit purchased from Boho Fabrics to make my knit drawstring bodice lightweight hooded sweater using M7688. I sewed view E and added the hood from view C. I also made a pair of faux leather pants to complete the outfit, along with some fabulous heels given to me by my best friend. I will definitely be using this pattern again, there are many great options to choose from.

Well, there you have it folks, my final sewing projects to finish out 2017 🎉🎉🎉. I am not the resolution type, I just hope to grow more as a Christian, a wife, a mother, and push myself more in my sewing. What do you guys hope to accomplish in 2018?
