PERFECT PLAID

Hi everyone!! I hope all is well with you. I have been sewing like crazy already and the new year just started. I made something that I am so excited to share with you, so continue reading.

The Fabric

I purchased this beautiful plaid wool-like fabric when I went to Jo-Anns to purchase thread, as most sewists are guilty of. You know what I’m talking about. That moment when you go to the store to purchase notions, and walk out with a large bag of fabric. In this case, I am glad I did, because this fabric is such a beautiful find.

Pattern

I have been following Eryn from Style Sew Me for a long time. I used to watch her on YouTube as well, and I love her work. She is so talented and driven. Towards the end of last year she created a cardigan pattern that I fell in love with at first sight called the Madison Cardigan. I made it a few weeks ago, and have worn it more than I’d like to admit 😂😂. Read on to hear my thoughts.

My Cardigan

The pattern was so quick and easy to sew. There are five pieces to this pattern. After cutting, it took me approximately 30 to 40 minutes to sew my cardigan. I did not make any changes to the pattern. I only added bias tape that I made myself for the first time, along the edge. I am definitely planning on sewing this pattern again. I already have plans to sew more for spring and summer using different types of fabrics. I must say that this cardigan made me feel “gone with the wind fabulous.

Thank you guys so very much for taking the time to read my blog. Continue scrolling to see why I am so in love with this pattern.

I love the flowiness
