Hello everyone. To all of those who call America home, Happy Independence day!!
One of the things that I do every holiday, is create a themed look for my kids, and today is no exception. Often times you would see items that I make for my daughter, but my son told me that he wants me to make something for him this time around. I have always made things for my daughter because I am better in making girl’s clothing, but at my son’s request I decided to give it a try, and it turned out great. I must say that this is one of my favorite things that I have ever made for my kids.
Pattern Used: My Daughter’s Dress was made using McCalls 6878, and my son’s shirt was made using Burda 9792.
Fabric Used: I found two firework patterns at my local Joanns that caught my eyes.
Was the pattern easy to use?: I had a bit of a struggle with the pleating on the dress pattern, but once I got a handle on it, everything else went smoothly. The Burda shirt pattern was very easy to understand and follow.
Would you use the patterns again?: I am definitely going to use both patterns over and over again.
I love sewing for myself and others, but sewing for my little ones bring out the best in me. Thank you all for reading my blog, please like, comment, and share. Please continue to scroll for pictures.
